Southworth Company is an independent, privately owned company with a team of employees proud of their commitment to the quality papers produced in their mill which is located on the banks of the Westfield River in the Mittineague area (Indian for "the place of falling waters) of West Springfield, Massachusetts. Brothers Wells and Edward Southworth chose this site in 1839 for its clean, clear water for papermaking and consistent rapid flow for producing power.
